Sustainable Forest Management

We focus on sustainable practices to enhance timber value and conserve forest ecosystems.

Sustainable Timber

Enhancing timber growth while promoting conservation and economic potential for local communities.

Community Integration

Engaging local populations in forest activities to foster sustainable development and resource management.

Our model emphasizes carbon sequestration through improved forest growth and strategic planting initiatives.

Carbon Sequestration

Sustainability First: Every plank comes from responsibly managed forests.

From the lush, biodiverse forests of Misiones, Argentina, THE WOOD CONCEPT brings you premium timber with a conscience. Our journey begins long before a single tree is felled — starting with the careful collection of native seeds, cultivated in our dedicated nurseries to ensure healthy, resilient growth. Once planted, these trees are nurtured under a sustainable forest management plan that balances responsible harvesting with continuous regeneration. Every board we supply carries the story of its origin — a cycle of renewal that protects Misiones’ unique ecosystems, supports local communities, and delivers world-class wood to customers who value quality and the planet in equal measure.

IBCMI Method: Enhanced enrichment without altering the natural state of the existing forest

Innovative forest enrichment techniques are applied, planting native trees within existing forest areas while maintaining biodiversity and natural structure. Each site is evaluated and classified according to its level of degradation before intervention. The fields are located in the ecotone between mixed forests and grasslands, many of which have been degraded by past cattle ranching, conventional agriculture, or poor land management.

The forestry approach blends productivity with environmental care, using a strip-planting method within the forest. Hand-cleared rows are created for planting native trees, alternating with untouched forest strips that serve as natural ecological buffers, preserving biodiversity and habitat continuity. Watercourse margins and designated conservation zones are always respected to protect vital ecosystems. Selective timber harvesting is paired with immediate replanting—typically 400 to 500 seedlings per hectare—resulting in approximately 200 hectares of enrichment planting annually. This cycle maintains a steady supply of high-quality timber while supporting long-term forest health.
